A parallax effect is created by making the background move slower 

than the foreground when you walk through the scene. 

The further away the background is, the slower it moves.

With the included parallax layers, you can achieve such an effect.

The black front layer is intended for the foreground, close to the camera. 

The forest layer is for the background, and the path is for the middle ground where your character can move.
